Frequently Asked Questions

Who are we?

Break Through Potential is a team of certified educators, and many team members have worked in schools for over twenty years. We offer every educational service you could need while in high school. We aim for all students to graduate and attend a higher education institution. We also specialize in assisting students that are interested in alternatives to college.

The ideal time to begin working with us is at least the end of 8th grade. We help students create a strategic plan that improves their chances of admission to highly competitive institutions. We also have services for elementary and middle school students.

Choosing Break Through Potential means developing a trusting relationship with elite educators for all your education needs. You will receive quality service from teachers and administrators with experience with student needs and can guide students and parents through challenging aspects of school.

Why pay for services when the school can help me?

Unfortunately, teachers and other faculty members are busier than ever and have little time to provide additional attention to all their students. As a result, by no fault of their own, they cannot help all their students to the degree they may need assistance. Email is often the best way to communicate with the school, and when you have an essential yet quick question, it may take a day or two, sometimes more, for a response. This can be frustrating for parents and students trying to meet deadlines. Those needing a lot of assistance may find it nearly impossible to meet when all parties are available.

Our services are designed to bridge the gap between you and your school. We take the time to provide plans that include school-specific information and opportunities. Then we go beyond your local community and connect students with resources they never realized were accessible and meaningful.

Why pay for services when I understand what to do?

There are things that the school will ask you or your student will be required to do that are clear-cut and inconsequential, and there is no reason to seek services. But you don’t know what you don’t know, and there are unwritten rules that we can share.

Additionally, regardless of how competitive you feel your student is, BTP guarantees that we can add value that will make them even more competitive. This is because we developed a strategy based on our experiences within schools as teachers, counselors, administrators, and many others. We foresaw the shift coming into the workforce and developed a method that redefines college and career readiness.

But if tasks the results are merit-based and competitive, if you are unsure of the purpose, have questions, or most importantly, if it is tied to your student’s future, we guarantee you will be happy you worked with us. If you are unsure, book a free consultation, and we will provide the information to make your decision. Our primary goal is to help students, not nickel and dime our clients. If you are unsatisfied with the services received, our founders want to hear about it, and we ask that you contact her at [email protected], and she will meet with you.

Education services are too expensive; is it worth it?

Only you will be able to answer this question. However, some of our services, such as helping students identify, may save you tens of thousands of dollars in the future since only 41% of students graduate college in four years. Additionally, there may be far less expensive pathways to the same future goals that families are unaware of. We ensure that your student attends a higher education institution to accomplish their goals and fit their needs and yours.

We suggest parents ask themselves a few questions to help make this decision. First, if your student’s accomplishment could have had even better results, will you be disappointed knowing an investment now could have made a difference? Does the investment now outweigh the potential outcomes in the future?
